An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified secondary teacher with demonstrated experience in trauma-informed practice to join our school community as Stage Coordinator - Religious Education/Pastoral Care, commencing at the beginning of Term 1, ****.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified secondary teacher with demonstrated experience in trauma-informed practice to join our school community as Stage Coordinator - Religious Education/Pastoral Care, commencing at the beginning of Term 1, ****.
The Stage Coordinator - Religious Education/Pastoral Care will work collaboratively with the Stage Coordinator - Curriculum, and the Principal, as a member of The John Berne School Executive Team. The two Stage Coordinators will share responsibility for the role of Acting Principal in the absence of the Principal, on a rotational basis for one full term at a time.
The Stage Coordinator will also assume responsibility for the leadership and pastoral care of Stage 5 students, working closely with students, staff and families to support student engagement, wellbeing, learning and personal development.




This is a 2-point Coordinator position, in accordance with the relevant Enterprise Agreement. An appropriate allowance and time allocation will be provided for the role.
The position is offered as a three-year appointment, with a view to extend, and a formal performance review will be undertaken during the third year of the appointment.

A commitment to ongoing evaluation, reflection and continuous improvement
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Accreditation as a teacher with NESA
