Lead school improvement across 29 Catholic schools and two boarding facilities in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga. This executive leadership role will strengthen principal capability, drive evidence-based school improvement and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and student outcomes across the system.
Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join its School Improvement Services Team as Head of School Improvement.
This is a significant system leadership prospect with responsibility for leading the Diocese's School Improvement function, strengthening Principal and senior leadership capability and driving continuous improvement across schools.
Reporting to the Director, School Improvement Services, the Head of School Improvement will lead and develop a team of School Improvement Leaders, establish clear expectations and accountability, and build leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
The role will provide strategic oversight of school performance, lead the development and implementation of the Diocesan School Improvement Strategy and act as a senior escalation point for complex school, leadership and community matters. This key Leadership role will also contribute to system strategy, direction and decision making and provide strategic advice to senior leadership.
Importantly, this is a leadership role grounded in Catholic identity and mission. The successful candidate will be a well-formed Catholic leader who can authentically model Gospel-centred leadership and ensure Catholic identity and mission remain central to school improvement and leadership across the Diocese.

About You
You are a respected and experienced educational leader who brings:
significant leadership experience as a Principal and/or senior system leader;
demonstrated experience leading and developing senior leaders and leadership teams;




extensive experience in school improvement and organisational change;
a strong track record of building leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and accountability;
the ability to navigate complex school, leadership and community matters with judgement and confidence;
the ability to think strategically, operationally and systemically;
outstanding communication, influence and stakeholder engagement skills; and
a well-formed Catholic faith and genuine commitment to the mission, identity and values of Catholic education.

The role requires postgraduate qualifications in addition to initial teacher training and Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E), or progress towards Accreditation E.
