Role overview:
The role sits within an external medical billing service. The person will log into clients' virtual practice management systems and manage billing and payment-related work on behalf of specialist medical practices.
Key responsibilities:
Complete medical billing for external specialist practices
Log into different client practice management systems remotely
Process billing, payments and associated billing administration
Manage more complex specialist billing including gap fees
Work across several different specialist clients and systems
Ensure billing is accurate and payments are managed correctly
Ideal background:
Previous medical billing experience is essential
Ideally coming from another
medical billing company/competitor
Alternatively, someone from a
specialist medical practice
with solid hands-on billing experience
Experience within
surgical or complex specialist practices
would be highly regarded
Gastroenterology,



pain medicine or similar complex specialties would be particularly relevant
GP-only practice experience is not ideal
, as the billing is more complex and candidates may not have enough exposure to gap fees/specialist billing
Systems:
Experience across multiple practice management systems would be ideal, including:
Genie
Gentu / Gen2
Clinic to Cloud
Zedmed / similar specialist practice systems
Any other relevant medical billing/practice management platforms

specialist billing, gap fees and practice management systems
