Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with 3–5 years of background in the
commercial/residential
construction sector—specifically within refurbishments and renovations to join our growing team. Handling projects ranging from $25K to $1M, you will take full ownership of the estimating pipeline from initial trade take-offs to final tender submission.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct detailed cost analyses, estimates, and cost plans for projects ranging from $25K to $1M.
n
Complete comprehensive trade and material take-offs, measure quantities for variations, and manage associated risk.
n
Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to establish accurate scopes of work.
n
Undertake site visits and conduct valuations for work completed in office.
n
Actively engage subcontractors and suppliers: source pricing,



confirm tender participation, and build strong network relationships.
n
Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective construction methods/materials.
n
Prepare polished, competitive submission documents (pricing and non-pricing) aligned with company branding.
n
Follow up on tenders, monitor market pricing trends, and maintain an up-to-date tender database.

Requirements & Skills
n
n
Qualifications or accreditation in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in a dedicated Estimating or Quantity Surveying role within construction
(refurbishment/renovations
experience strongly regarded).
n
Proficiency in estimating software and business tools (simPRO, MS Project, EstimateOne, and MS Office Suite).
n
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a confident, assertive approach when coordinating subcontractors.
n
Proven track record of meeting strict tender deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
n
Proactive mindset with an eagerness to learn internal systems and processes.
