An opportunity has presented itself for a Terminal Supervisor to join our team based in Port Augusta, with responsibility for supporting operations across Port Augusta, Whyalla and Cook.
n
What You'll Do
n
Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of a busy freight terminal while driving safe, efficient, and productive outcomes for our people, customers, and business.
n
Reporting To The Superintendent, You Will
n
n
Lead, supervise, and coordinate terminal operations at Port Augusta and Whyalla depots to ensure trains operate safely, efficiently, and on time.
n
Manage all aspects of Pacific National's remote barracks facility at Cook, including utilities, maintenance requirements, and site upkeep.
n
Inspire a safety-focused culture through visible leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
n
Coordinate operational resources and workforce activities to maximise terminal productivity and service delivery, including rostering.
n
Ensure compliance with network access requirements, operational procedures, and company standards.
n
Implement and communicate organisational,



divisional, and local safety instructions across the team.
n
Conduct safety observations, performance assessments, and ongoing capability development activities.
n
Work closely with Integrated Planning Services and Network Control to support effective train movements and operational performance.
n
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a safety-critical setting.
n
Experience leading, coaching, and motivating teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
n
Background in rail, transport, logistics, processing, or a heavy industry is highly regarded.
n
Strong commitment to safety leadership and fostering a positive safety culture.
n
Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
n
Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
n
Experience developing team capability and driving performance outcomes.
n
