About the Role
As a Broker Assistant/Trainee Broker, you'll work alongside experienced brokers to support and service a portfolio of clients while developing your technical and client relationship skills. You'll gain hands‐on experience across a range of insurance products, while working towards becoming a broker.
Key Responsibilities
Provide office admin duties and support to brokers
Assist brokers with managing client insurance and risk needs
Prepare new business quotes, renewals, endorsements and cancellations
Handle client and insurer enquiries by phone and email
Process policies using insurer platforms and internal systems
Prepare documentation and invoices accurately and on time
Claims admin support
What You'll Bring
Working as part of a team, the right candidate must display the following attributes, qualifications & experience:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively




Customer service orientation having previously worked in a professional services role and motivation to exceed client needs and expectations at all times
Minimum 2 years experience in general insurance, insurance broking
A strong interest in progressing to a client‐facing broker role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and solid time management
High level of computer proficiency, including MS Office 365, experience with broking systems
Well‐developed analytical and problem‐solving skills
Friendly disposition and natural empathetic nature
Passionate and motivated self‐starter with a positive 'can do' attitude
