Tower Crane Operator & Intermediate Rigger

Responsibilities
As a
Tower Crane Operator
, your
responsibilities
will include:
Safely operating the tower crane in accordance with site requirements and safety regulations.
Working closely with doggers, riggers, and site supervisors to ensure effective and safe lifting operations.
Conducting pre-start checks, inspections, and routine maintenance of the crane.
Ensuring all lifts are carried out in line with lift plans and Work Method Statements.
Maintaining clear communication with the ground crew via radio or hand signals.
Reporting any hazards, defects, or incidents promptly.
Assisting with general site duties when required and safe to do so.
Contributing to a safe, productive, and positive work environment.
As an
Intermediate Rigger & Dogman
, your responsibilities will include:
Safely slinging and securing loads for crane operations.
Directing and guiding the crane operator using hand signals or radio communication.




Ensuring all lifting operations comply with safety regulations and site procedures.
Inspecting lifting gear and reporting any defects or hazards.
Assisting with the movement, placement, and positioning of materials on-site.
Maintaining clear communication with site supervisors, crane operators, and other workers.
Monitoring site conditions to ensure safe lifting environments.
Supporting general site operations when not engaged in dogging duties.
Following all Work Method Statements and completing required permits.
Contributing to a safe and efficient worksite through proactive hazard identification.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Relevant licenses and qualifications in the respective field for this role
Experience in precast concrete panel installations
3-5 years' experience in a similar role
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of market conditions, construction techniques, and industry standards
Ability to work in a team workplace and have initiative when working independently
Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
