We're working with an established technology business based in Cambridge that is continuing to expand its engineering teams and develop a range of new products.

They are looking for a Test Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering environment, contributing to the testing and validation of both software and hardware-based systems.

The role

Develop and improve testing processes across new and existing products
n
Create and maintain automated test solutions alongside manual testing
n
Work closely with software, hardware and systems engineers throughout the product lifecycle
n
Identify issues early and help drive improvements in product quality and reliability
n
Take ownership of testing activities and contribute to the wider engineering strategy
n
Work on a variety of new and evolving products
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Previous experience in software, embedded or systems testing
n
Comfortable working across both manual and automated testing
n
Experience developing or maintaining automated test scripts/frameworks
n
Programming or scripting experience, ideally with Python, C# or a similar language
n
Familiarity with common testing, defect tracking or test management tools
n
Experience working within a hardware/software development environment would be advantageous
n
Background in communications, electronics or another technology-led industry would be beneficial, but isn't essential
n

Desirable to have
n
n
4G or 5G experience
n
Worked with DMR devices or mobile phones
