We're looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a high-performing technology team on an initial 6-month contract.
You'll help uplift automation, improve quality and support faster software delivery across web, mobile and API platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Build and uplift test automation frameworks
Develop automated API, web and mobile tests
Work with developers and QA teams on an automation-first approach
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Investigate and resolve flaky and unstable tests
Conduct code reviews and maintain automation standards
Identify opportunities to increase automation and reduce manual effort
Support test environments, including Docker and cloud platforms
Identify and manage testing risks and defects
Coach and support QA team members on automation best practice

Key Requirements
Strong experience building or uplifting automation frameworks
Hands-onPlaywright or Cypress with TypeScript
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills
API automation experience with tools such asSuperTest, Jest, Mocha, Chai or Cucumber
Web/mobile automation experience usingPlaywright, Cypress, Selenium, WebDriver, Appium or Detox
Experience withNode.jsand CI/CD tools such asGitHub Actions or Jenkins
Understanding of TDD, coding best practices and Agile delivery
Exposure toAWS and Dockeris advantageous
Solid analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable coaching others and challenging existing ways of working
Wagering or high-volume digital experience is desirable but not essential.
