As a Motel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they arrive.
This position is essential to the smooth operation of our motel and directly impacts guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Key responsibilities
Welcoming guests upon arrival and processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously
Handling guest inquiries and providing information about motel facilities, local attractions and services
Managing room bookings, reservations and cancellations using our booking system
Processing payments and managing cash, card and other payment methods accurately
Answering incoming calls and directing them appropriately or taking messages
Addressing guest concerns and resolving complaints promptly and professionally
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Performing general administrative tasks such as filing and data entry
Communicating with housekeeping and maintenance staff regarding room status and repairs
Following all motel policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
Previous experience in reception, hospitality or customer service roles is highly desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail




Proficiency with computers and experience using booking systems or similar software
Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure, particularly during busy periods
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent guest service
Reliability and punctuality
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required for a casual position
Knowledge of Mildura and local tourist attractions is beneficial
