About the Opportunity
Mount William Station is seeking an exceptional emerging or experienced hospitality management couple ready to step into a hands-on role at one of Australia's most distinctive luxury country lodges.
This role is designed for high-potential & experienced couples with a strong background in luxury hotels, luxury lodges or fine-dining environments, who are ready to grow into a management position or assistant General Manager roles with mentorship, autonomy and long-term opportunity.
We are a mission-based, owner-operated business focused on genuine hospitality, heritage, and excellence.
This is not a corporate role, it is immersive, on-site and deeply connected to the guest experience.
The Role
As a Management Couple, you will jointly lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel, working hands-on, in the frontline of the guest experience, front of house, guest comms, back of house and operational delivery.
Given our high-end small number of rooms (8 luxury ensuites), the role is perfect for two individuals who want a strong connection to guests and minimal staff management (2-3 FTE + casuals)
This is a visible, hands-on position.
Welcoming guests, providing fine dining service, supporting events, assist to managing our small team and helping uphold the high standards that define Mount William Station.
You will work closely with the owners and senior team, with a clear pathway to grow in responsibility and remuneration as the business and your career evolves.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver warm, intuitive five-star guest experiences from arrival to departure
Lead front-of-house operations and guest communications
Be responsible for delivery of luxury dining, weddings and private events
Once proven in frontline roles, assist in recruiting and managing a small, high-performing hospitality team




Maintain exceptional standards across service, presentation and cleanliness
Assist with inventory, ordering, reporting and operational systems
Act as on-site leaders and brand ambassadors
Bonus Skills (Highly Valued)
While not essential, the following skills will be highly regarded:
Chef & kitchen skills (being a support for busier events, help with kitchen requirements and cover smaller guest numbers to relieve the Executive Chef's time off. Bonus not essential)
Reception & Admin skills (handle hotel inbox, admin functions and organisation)
Maintenance or trade aptitude (basic repairs, grounds, troubleshooting)
Sommelier or wine knowledge, cellar management, and wine service to enhance the guest dining experience.
Fine-dining or premium restaurant & service experience
Confidence hosting guests, tastings and curated experiences while working with our award-winning chef.
Couples who bring complementary skill sets (e.g. service + ops, food & wine, BOH/maintenance) will be viewed very favourably.
Who We're Looking For
Strong experience in high-end hospitality, luxury hotels, lodges or fine dining
A proven ability to lead from the front and work hands-on
Excellent communication, professionalism and emotional intelligence
Passion for guest experience, regional living and nature-based hospitality
A growth mindset and desire to build a long-term career together
Package & Benefits
Combined Package: $170,000
Combined base salary: $130,000+
Superannuation: 12.5% (paid on top)
In office accommodation allowance: $20,000
Utilities included (power, water, internet, heating)
