NDIS Support Worker — Epping, VIC (High-Intensity, Subcontractor)

The Role

This is a high-intensity support role — not entry-level. BTR Health needs an experienced, unshakeable Support Worker for a participant in Epping with complex needs, including psychosocial disability, mental health challenges, and current active substance use (AOD) . The participant can present as difficult, volatile, or resistant to support at times. We need someone who's worked this space before, knows how to hold boundaries, de-escalate, and not take it personally.

This role is not suitable for recent-to-industry support workers.

You'll be:
Supporting daily living, routines, and appointments
Helping with community access and social participation
Using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches — regularly, not occasionally




Keeping explicit case notes and flagging changes or incidents early

What You Bring
Experience with AOD (alcohol and other drugs) support and challenging/high-risk behaviours — preferred
Experience with mental health / psychosocial disability support — preferred
Thick skin, steady temperament, strong personal boundaries
ABN + your own insurance (public liability & skilled indemnity)
NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, First Aid/CPR
Cert III/IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or AOD — preferred, not required
Driver's licence + reliable car

Pay

Set rate per hour, paid on invoice.
