Koppers Performance Chemicals Australia (KPC) is a market leader in wood preservation technology, supplying creative treatment systems, chemicals, and technical solutions to customers across Australia and New Zealand.

We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Technical Services Representative to join our team. This role provides technical support and customer service to timber treatment plants and will suit someone with a background in engineering, industrial operations, maintenance, manufacturing, fluid systems, or the timber industry.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as the primary technical contact for a portfolio of customers, helping them optimise plant performance, troubleshoot issues, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the safe and compliant use of KPC products.
n
This is a hands‐on role that combines customer relationship management, technical problem solving, site-based support, training, and process improvement. Regular travel to customer facilities throughout Australia will be required.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide technical support and advice to customers.
n
Troubleshoot treatment plant and process issues.
n
Assist customers to improve plant efficiency, productivity, and preservative usage.
n
Support the operation and maintenance of treatment cylinders, storage systems, pumps, dosing equipment, process controls, and associated plant infrastructure.
n




Assist with commissioning new equipment and treatment systems.
n
Deliver technical training and operational guidance to customers.
n
Build strong, long-term customer relationships.
n
Promote safe work practices and support compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
n

About You
n
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and being part of a collaborative team.
n
Ideally, you will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
n
n
Mechanical Engineering, particularly fluid engineering systems.
n
Industrial manufacturing, processing, or maintenance environments.
n
Timber treatment, timber processing, sawmilling, or wood products industries.
n
Chemical handling, dosing, pumping, or process control systems.
n
Technical customer support or field service roles
n
n
Skills and Attributes
n

Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to build trusted customer relationships.
n
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
n
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
n
Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites across Australia.
