Casual Driver – VMS & Traffic Control Equipment (MR Licence)
APS HIRE is looking for a reliable and safety-focused
Casual Driver
to join our team, delivering and collecting Variable Message Signs (VMS) and traffic control equipment throughout Geelong and across Victoria.
About the role:
This is a hands‐on, physical role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, travelling, and dealing with a variety of job sites. You will be responsible for:
Delivering and picking up VMS boards, portable traffic lights and related traffic equipment
Operating an MR truck safely and efficiently
Completing basic equipment setup on site
Communicating with the operations team to ensure smooth deliveries
Providing excellent customer service when dealing with clients on location
What you need:
Current
MR truck licence
(mandatory)
Minimum of 1+ years MR truck driving experience required




Valuable communication and problem‐solving skills
Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of safety
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Basic mechanical or equipment knowledge is an advantage (not essential)
Flexibility to work varying hours, including occasional early starts or late finishes
Australian work rights are essential for this position
