We are seeking a skilled and experienced baker to join our Farmer Joe's bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking techniques, food safety, and customer service. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods from scratch, maintaining inventory, and ensuring high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
n

Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods from scratch.
n
Follow recipes to maintain consistency.
n
Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers.
n
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices.
n
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supplies needed.
n
Decorate and package baked goods for display and sale.
n
n
Requirements
n
Qualifications:
n
n
High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
n
Food Handling/Safety Certification- Preferred but not required.
n
Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
n
Experience in scratch baking.
n
Must be 18 years and older.
n
n
Required Skills / Abilities:
n
n
Displays strong creative background, able to suggest alternatives, and be open to suggestion.
n
Extensive knowledge in food safety, including knowledge of danger zone, temperature control,



storage, logs.
n
Expertise in baking.
n
Create a positive environment.
n
Able to open, close, work mid shift.
n
Excellent attention to details.
n
Demonstrate ability to work independently and be organized.
n
Ability to multitask.
n

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining focus and precision
n
Capability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
n
Skilled in both gross and fine manipulation
n
Peripheral vision and near/far visual accuracy
n
Effectively hear and respond to instructions in a bustling setting
n
Manual dexterity
n
Use of step-stools and ladders as needed
n
Reaching above, at, and below waist level
n
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and move fluidly around
n
Comfortable working in diverse temperatures (hot, humid, cold) and tolerating moderate amounts of dust and cleaning agents
n
Able to handle a wide variety of fresh ingredients without adverse allergic reactions
n
Maintain stability and balance while executing tasks efficiently
n
Convey instructions clearly and communicate with team members effectively, even in busy or noisy environments
