Senior Construction Engineer - Land Development

As a Senior Construction Engineer in the Land Development team, you will work with a team of construction engineers and be responsible for co-ordinating and managing the construction phase of projects. You will administer contracts, approve progress claims and contract variations, monitor construction progress against programme and pre-empt and resolve any onsite construction problems.

Key responsibilities
n

Co-ordinate and manage the construction phase of projects under the limited direction of the company directors.
n
Work with the Design/Project Manager & Directors to ensure clients requirements and time frames are satisfied.
n
Compliance with authority requirements for surveillance, auditing, release of specified hold points and a timely handover following completion of defect liability period.
n
Administer contracts, approve progress claims and variations up to specified limits.
n
Approve and issue site instructions.
n
Organise, chair and minute site meetings.
n




Pre-empt and resolve onsite construction problems.
n
Prepare client status reports.
n

About you
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (Preferred but not essential).
n
Minimum 8-10 year's experience in delivering subdivision and infrastructure projects.
n
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
n
NER / CPEng (or working toward chartership) - Desirable.
n
Experience liaising directly with clients and Council - Desirable.
n
Detailed knowledge of construction processes and site experience - Desirable.
n
