Our client is a strong market leader within their industry, proudly operating throughout the Hunter Region providing safe, efficient and sustainable high quality products and services. Due to growth, we are searching for a highly motivated Solar & Battery Sales Consultant with an entrepreneurial spirit to join their team and drive the business further. The role of the Solar & Battery Sales Consultant will require you to work autonomously and is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, converting and driving sales opportunities and the satisfactory delivery of products and services.
This role requires conducting site visits, preparing and following up on quotes, and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing customers. The focus is on meeting sales targets, delivering a high-quality customer experience, and contributing to the growth of the residential solar business. You will work closely with the operations and marketing teams to ensure alignment with overall business strategies.
Your territory will cover the Newcastle and Hunter Region.
The role:
Drive solar sales in the residential market, ensuring sales targets are consistently met
Conduct site visits (or hold online meetings) to assess suitability for solar installations and provide accurate recommendations
Prepare and follow up on quotes (preparation of quotes will be under assistance), converting leads into successful sales.
Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and products to enhance customer value and retention
Nurture and strengthen our existing supplier relationships,



fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial sales-vendor partnership
Assist with joint venture opportunities to expand business reach and collaborate with potential partners for mutual growth
Track and report sales activities and customer accounts using internal CRM and systems
Collaborate closely with operations and marketing teams to align with business strategies and ensure smooth execution
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in residential solar sales or a similar field
Strong understanding of solar energy solutions and sustainability practices or a background in electrical services
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Renewable Energy, or a related field
Valid driver's license and personal transportation
Strong computer skills including proficiency in using CRM software a
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with customers
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Self-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets
Ability to manage a strong pipeline of opportunities
Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and overcome objections
Solid organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent client relationships
