Senior Content Writer (6-Month Contract)

About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Content Writer to join our Marketing team on a 6-month contract, covering a key transition period. Reporting to the Head of Content & Communications, you'll be responsible for maintaining the performance, consistency and output of our global content ecosystem.
This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling and search performance –ensuring all content is high quality, on-brand, and optimised for discoverability across search, AI platforms and social. You'll lead day-to-day editorial delivery, support campaign execution, and act as a central point of contact for content across the wider marketing team.
A strong publisher mindset is essential,we want someone who thinks about how content can be extended, repurposed and scaled across channels.
What You'll Be Doing
Content Strategy & Continuity
Execute and maintain the existing content strategy and editorial calendar across global markets
Translate campaign direction, business priorities and search insights into clear, actionable content briefs
Extend campaigns into editorial, evergreen and channel-specific content
Track and report on key content KPIs, identifying opportunities to optimise performance
Apply SEO & GEO best practice across all content — keyword integration, search intent and content structure
Write and optimise journal articles, landing pages, product copy and editorial formats




Ensure content is structured for discoverability across both traditional search and AI-driven platforms
Lead day-to-day content development across journal/editorial articles, eDM campaigns, website and landing page copy, and campaign/brand messaging
Own the end-to-end journal publishing process — briefing, uploading, QA and optimisation
Maintain a consistent, premium editorial voice aligned to brand positioning
Product & Website Content
Lead product copy development across new launches and existing ranges
Work closely with design and product teams to articulate product USPs and features
Collaborate with eCommerce teams to align content, UX and conversion goals
PR, Campaign & Brand Content
Write press releases, expert commentary and thought leadership content
Provide copywriting support across campaign and brand collateral (print, digital, in-store)
Workflow & Team Support
Own content workflow from brief through to publication
Provide guidance to a Digital Content Writer to maintain output quality
Act as a central point of contact across PR, CRM, social, eCommerce and design teams
Use AI tools where appropriate to support efficient content production, while maintaining solid editorial judgement
What We're Looking For
5+ years' experience in content writing, copywriting or content marketing
Proven experience delivering SEO-informed content that drives traffic, engagement and conversion
Strong experience creating content across multiple formats and channels
Experience working within cross-functional marketing teams in a rapid-paced environment
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong sense of brand voice and storytelling
Strong stakeholder management skills with a practical, delivery-focused approach
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines
