As we continue to expand our wet fire capabilities and bring more sprinkler servicing in-house, we are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician / Sprinkler Fitter to join our team.

About the Role
n
You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, maintenance and rectification of fire sprinkler and associated wet fire systems.
n
Your duties will include:
n
This is an prospect to become an important part of a growing division with a large existing portfolio of ongoing service work.
n
n
Routine inspection, testing and servicing of fire sprinkler systems
n
Monthly, six-monthly and annual testing and maintenance
n
Sprinkler valve and alarm testing
n
Fire pump and associated equipment testing
n
Identifying system defects and required rectification works
n
Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records
n
Assisting with repairs, upgrades and system rectification works
n
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements
n
Working closely with our service, auditing and management teams
n
n




Must-Have Qualifications & Requirements
n
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
n
n
Certificate III in Fire Protection Services, or an equivalent recognised fire protection trade qualification
n
Current Victorian Fire Protection plumbing registration or licence
n
Demonstrated experience working on commercial fire sprinkler systems
n
Sound working knowledge of AS **** and routine service requirements for wet fire systems
n
Experience carrying out routine sprinkler system inspection, testing and maintenance
n
Current Construction Industry White Card
n
Current Australian driver's licence
n
Ability to work independently and safely across commercial sites
n
Ability to accurately identify, document and report system defects
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
The following experience and qualifications will be highly regarded:
n
n
Relevant FPA Australia / FPAS accreditation
n
Fire hydrant system inspection, testing and maintenance experience
n
Fire pump and pumpset testing experience
n
Annual water supply and flow testing experience
n
Five-yearly sprinkler and hydrant system testing experience
n
Experience with sprinkler system repairs, alterations and installations
n
Additional wet fire qualifications and competencies
n
