With continued growth, new product innovation and strategic acquisitions, we're looking for a motivated Graduate / Junior Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a recent accounting or finance graduate who is eager to build broad practical accounting experience while using AI, data analytics and modern reporting tools to support better business decisions.

The Opportunity
n
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll gain hands-on exposure across product costing, inventory, month-end reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis and business partnering.
n
Working closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations, you'll learn how finance supports commercial decisions across pricing, sourcing, inventory management, margin improvement and business performance.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career accountant who enjoys working with numbers, exploring AI-enabled tools, improving processes and turning data into practical insights.

What You'll Learn and Contribute To
n
n
Support product costing and standard cost maintenance across our diverse product range.
n
Assist with analysing procurement, freight, inventory and operational costs to identify margin improvement opportunities.
n
Prepare gross margin, cost variance and profitability reports using Excel, Power BI and AI-assisted analysis where appropriate.
n




Help investigate monthly cost movements against standard, budget and actual costs.
n
Maintain accurate product, inventory and costing data within the ERP system.
n
Assist with inventory valuation, stock adjustments, cycle counts and stocktake reconciliations.
n
Support month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting tasks.
n
Partner with Sales and Product Development on pricing support, new product costings and promotional analysis.
n
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
n
Explore practical uses of AI, automation and reporting tools to improve finance processes and reduce manual work.
n
Support audit requirements, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance team.

About You
n
You'll be a recent graduate or early-career finance professional who is curious, analytical and keen to understand how a growing FMCG business operates from supplier through to customer.
n
You'll also bring:
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
n
Fresh graduate or early-career candidate with internship, placement, part-time, project or entry-level accounting experience.
n
Interest in building all-round accounting capability across cost accounting, management accounting, inventory, reconciliations, reporting and financial analysis.
n
Practical experience or strong interest in using AI tools to improve analysis,



reporting, automation or problem-solving.
n
Robust Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data.
n
Exposure to Power BI, data visualisation, automation tools or similar reporting platforms will be valued.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
n
Willingness to learn ERP systems and business processes in a hands‐on environment.
n
Good communication skills and the ability to work with people across Finance, Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations.
n
A proactive mindset with curiosity, accountability and a passion for continuous improvement.
