n MacKellar is looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters / Plant Mechanics to join our established maintenance team at Middlemount Mine.

The Opportunity
n
You'll be part of a dedicated maintenance crew responsible for keeping a large fleet of heavy mining equipment safe, reliable and ready for production.
n
Your role will cover a broad range of maintenance activities, including:
n
n
Planned servicing and preventative maintenance
n
Diagnosing mechanical faults and breakdowns
n
Component change‐outs, repairs and rebuilds
n
Major maintenance and corrective repairs
n




Equipment inspections and fault identification
n
Completing work orders and maintenance records
n
Working closely with operators, supervisors and fellow trades
n
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
n
n
You'll have the opportunity to work across a well‐maintained fleet while developing your skills within a long‐term operation.

What You'll Bring
n
We're looking for a qualified tradesperson with strong heavy mobile equipment experience and a practical approach to maintenance.
n You'll need:
n
n
Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic trade qualification
n
Previous experience working on heavy earthmoving or mining equipment
n
Strong mechanical diagnostics and fault-finding capability
n
Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or ability to obtain
n
Current Queensland Driver Licence
n
A solid commitment to safety and working as part of a team
n
