We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Junior/Trainee Site Manager to join our Geelong team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in residential construction, working alongside experienced Site Managers and Project Managers while learning all aspects of project delivery.

Whether you're currently working as a leading hand, carpenter, construction administrator, estimator, apprentice supervisor, site coordinator or have relevant building industry experience, this role provides a genuine pathway into site management.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with our Site Management team to learn and develop across all aspects of residential construction delivery.
n
You'll gain hands-on experience in:

Site supervision and construction coordination

Quality assurance inspections

Safety management and compliance
n
Trade and supplier coordination
n
Project scheduling and workflow management
n
Customer and stakeholder communication
n
Defect identification and rectification
n
Buildlab systems and reporting processes
n
Construction administration and documentation
n
n
This is a field-based role that will see you regularly attending construction sites throughout the Geelong region.

What You'll Be Doing
n
Construction Coordination
n
n




Assist with the daily management of residential construction sites.
n
Support Site Managers in monitoring build progress and programme delivery.
n
Coordinate trades, suppliers and inspections.
n
Attend site meetings and assist in resolving construction issues.
n
n
Safety & Compliance
n
n
Promote Buildlab's safety-first culture.
n
Assist with site safety inspections and compliance activities.
n
Ensure sites remain clean, organised and compliant with WHS requirements.
n
Identify and escalation safety concerns.
n
n
Quality Assurance
n
n
Participate in construction quality inspections.
n
Assist in defect management and rectification activities.
n
Develop an understanding of Australian Building Codes and construction standards.
n
Learn Buildlab quality assurance processes and reporting requirements.
n
n
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
n
n
Support customer walkthroughs and inspection appointments.
n
Build positive relationships with trades, suppliers and developer representatives.
n
Assist with communication and follow-up of site activities.
n
n
Systems & Administration
n
n
Learn and utilise Buildlab's construction management systems.
n
Maintain accurate records, photos and site documentation.
n
Assist with scheduling, reporting and construction administration tasks.
n
n
What We're Looking For

Essential

Strong interest in residential construction and site supervision.
n
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to build positive relationships with trades and stakeholders.
n
High attention to detail.
n
Valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
n
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Trade qualification or trade background.
n
Experience in residential building or construction.
n
Experience reading plans and construction documentation.
n
Certificate IV in Building & Construction (or desire to obtain).
n
Knowledge of residential construction methods and building standards.
n
