Key responsibilities
n
Develop, implement and evaluate a high-quality educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
n
Support children's learning, development, wellbeing and school readiness
n
Build respectful, responsive and meaningful relationships with children and families
n
Work collaboratively with educators, management and other professionals
n
Contribute to observations, documentation, planning, assessment and reflection
n
Create an inclusive, engaging and culturally responsive learning environment
n
Plan experiences that encourage children's curiosity, confidence, independence and development
n
Maintain effective communication with families regarding children's learning, development and wellbeing
n
Promote a safe, respectful, inclusive and child-focused environment
n
Contribute positively to the service's professional culture and quality improvement processes
n
About you
n
Hold an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification recognised under the Australian early childhood education and care framework, or an equivalent qualification recognised for the role
n
Meet relevant NSW teacher
registration/accreditation
requirements, where applicable
n
Hold a valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)



clearance or be eligible to obtain one
n
Provide a satisfactory National Police Check / criminal history check, in accordance with service requirements
n
Hold or complete mandatory child safety
training/certification
required under current early childhood education and care requirements
n
Hold a current Child Protection Certificate, with the
certificate/refresher
updated annually as required by the service
n
Have a sound understanding of the EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework (NQF)
n
Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills
n
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing, learning and development
n
Be willing to comply with all service policies, procedures and child protection requirements
n
