About the Role
n
As a Junior Draftsperson, you will work alongside our experienced drafting and production teams, receiving guidance and on-the-job training while developing your technical knowledge and drafting skills.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Assisting with the preparation of electrical schematics and general arrangement drawings.
n
Creating and updating drawings using AutoCAD.
n
Making drawing revisions in accordance with customer and production requirements.
n
Learning the design and construction requirements of electrical switchboards.
n
Working closely with our drafting, estimating and production teams.
n
Assisting with preparing accurate drawings for customer approval and manufacturing.
n
Developing an understanding of relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS **** and AS/NZS *****.
n
Ensuring drawings and documentation are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

About You
n
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn,



takes pride in their work and wants to develop a long-term career in drafting and electrical design.

Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Basic knowledge or experience using AutoCAD.
n
A qualification, certificate or studies in drafting, engineering, electrical or a related field or a genuine interest in developing a career within the industry.
n
Good computer and technical skills.
n
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
n
Good communication and organisational skills.
n
The ability to follow instructions while also developing confidence to work independently.
n
A reliable and punctual approach to work.
n
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
n
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
n
n
Previous electrical switchboard experience is not essential – training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
