The Opportunity
n
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Handyperson to join our opening team. In this vital role, you'll help ensure our brand-new hotel is kept in immaculate condition through a range of minor maintenance and repair tasks. You'll play a key role in upholding the high standards of comfort, safety, and sustainability our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities
n

Perform routine maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house (including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and furniture fixes)
n
Respond to maintenance requests swiftly, ensuring minimal disruption to guests
n
Support preventative maintenance under the guidance of the Director of Engineering
n
Inspect areas regularly to identify issues, report hazards, and escalte major repairs
n
Assist with refurbishments, room turnovers, and event setup
n




Keep tools and equipment secure, clean, and functional
n
Follow all WHS and hotel safety/security procedures
n
Communicate effectively with teams across departments
n
Provide professional, discreet customer service at all times
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
Experience in a
maintenance/handyperson
role (ideally in hospitality or commercial buildings)
n
Please note: This is a 24/7 operations, a level of flexibility and weekend work will be required to be succesful in this role.
n
Competency in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks
n
Strong problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail
n
Ability to work independently with a commitment to safety and guest privacy
n
Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
n

Qualifications
n
n
Trade qualification (preferred but not essential)
n
White Card and/or Working at Heights certification (desirable)
n
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic digital tools
n
