We're seeking a skilled, well-organised Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for our patients across both sites. This is a permanent part-time position — 0.4 FTE, working Tuesdays and Fridays (approximately 15 hours per week), with an immediate start available.

Key responsibilities /n

Greet patients and visitors and provide a warm, professional first impression

/n
Answer and manage incoming calls, emails and enquiries

/n
Book, confirm, reschedule and manage appointments

/n
Prepare, open and close consulting rooms

/n
Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records

/n
Manage incoming referrals and clinical correspondence

/n
Scan, file and distribute documents; type and format letters as required

/n
Process billing, receipting and payments

/n
Prepare Medicare, DVA and private health fund claims

/n
Liaise with hospitals, specialists, GPs and allied health providers

/n
Maintain stock and order office and clinical supplies

/n
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

Reliability, punctuality and discretion

Right to work in Australia

Previous medical reception or customer service experience (desirable)

/n
Familiarity with practice management software (Gentu) and Medicare/DVA billing (desirable)

Understanding of medical terminology (desirable)
