Australian Amalgamated Terminals (AAT) /n

AAT is Australia's largest motor vehicle, RoRo and mixed cargo terminal operator. Our Port Kembla terminal handles motor vehicles, general cargo, containers, break bulk, steel and project cargo across a busy multi-purpose port workplace.

We're looking for Casual Yard Operators to join our Port Kembla operations team.

About the role /n

Your day-to-day duties will include:

/n

/n
Forklift operations across the terminal yard (core part of the role)

/n
Lashing and unlashing of cargo

/n
Loading and restraining cargo in line with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and load restraint requirements

/n
General housekeeping duties - keeping the yard, wharf and work areas clean, tidy and safe

/n
Assisting with cargo receival, delivery and yard movements

/n
Other general manual terminal tasks as directed

/n
Working safely around vessels,



heavy vehicles and moving plant

/n

About you /n

/n
Current forklift licence (LF) with hands-on experience - essential

/n
Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law, including safe loading and load restraint

/n
Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual work, including lashing and housekeeping tasks

/n
Strong safety focus and ability to follow procedures in a live port environment

/n
Reliable, punctual and a positive team player

/n
Flexibility to work diverse shifts, including weekends, in line with vessel schedules

/n
MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) or willingness to obtain one

/n
Reliable transport to Port Kembla

/n
