Design Assistant
fluent in CAD design to help bring cutting-edge projects to life.
If you have strong CAD skills, an eye for detail, and want to be part of a high-energy, collaborative team in the 4WD automotive space, this could be the role for you.
Your Role
As a Design Assistant at JMACX, you will:
Produce detailed CAD designs, drawings, and models for 4WD product parts, accessories, and custom builds
Assist with product development, from concept sketches through to final design revisions
Work closely with engineering, production, and workshop teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality & safety standards
Update and maintain CAD libraries and design documentation
Review designs for fitment, tolerance, and function, suggesting improvements where needed
Collaborate on drawings for quotes, prototypes, testing, and final release
What We're Looking For




Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or similar)
Experience in mechanical/automotive design, or related engineering fields
A strong eye for detail, measurement, tolerancing and drawing standards
Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into workable designs
Good communication skills; ability to work in a team and liaise between design, production, and sales/workshop
Reliable, motivated with initiative, strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
Passion for the 4WD lifestyle & desire to produce high-quality work
