Direct Steel Wagga is looking for a reliable and motivated Storeperson to join our team.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety and a great opportunity to learn all aspects of the steel industry. Previous steel industry experience or knowledge would be advantageous, but isn't necessary – if you have the right attitude and are willing to learn, we'll train you up.

About the Role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Picking and preparing customer orders
n
Loading and unloading trucks
n
Organising and maintaining stock within the warehouse and yard
n
Using inventory systems to manage and monitor stock
n
Checking incoming goods and ensuring they are received in good condition
n
Keeping track of stock within the warehouse and yard
n
Assisting customers when required
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workplace
n
Following all workplace health and safety requirements
n
n
What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will:

Be reliable and prepared for physical, hands-on work
n




Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Be able to follow instructions and work safely
n
Work well within a team environment
n
Hold a current driver's licence
n
Have basic computer skills and be willing to learn new programs
n
Hold a forklift licence – preferred but not essential
n
Knowledge of steel products would be advantageous, but is not required
n

This is a full time, secure position.

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
n Most Saturdays: 8:00am – 12:00pm
