About the role
As a Room Leader, you will take ownership of your learning environment, leading the planning and delivery of educational programs while mentoring and supporting your team. You will work collaboratively with centre leadership to ensure high standards of care, education, and compliance are maintained, creating positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities




Lead the day-to-day operations of your room and support a positive team culture.
Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging educational programs aligned with approved learning frameworks.
Guide and mentor educators to deliver high-quality practices and experiences.
Create a secure, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Observe, assess, and document children's learning and development.
Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and centre policies.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and centre goals.
Qualification and requirements
Diploma or above in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA assessed equivalent
Valid and current WWCC
An understanding of the VEYLF, NQS and relevant state and national regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ideally has at least 2 years experience as Room Leader
Holds current and up to date Mandatory reporting, first aid and Food handling certificates.
Full Australian Working Rights
Willing to obtain a National Criminal history check
