Job Description
Whizdom is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join a growing and technology-driven organisation with a significant national footprint. This role will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the organisation's network infrastructure while contributing to its ongoing cloud transformation strategy.

The successful candidate will bring a robust networking background, hold a CCNA certification (or equivalent experience), and possess hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both traditional networking and modern cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPN solutions.
n
Monitor network performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
n
Manage and support Azure networking services including Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, and associated cloud infrastructure.
n
Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless environments across multiple locations.
n
Troubleshoot complex connectivity, performance, and security issues.
n
Support cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure environments.
n
Work closely with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure network security best practices are maintained.
n
Participate in infrastructure upgrade, migration, and cloud transformation projects.
n
Perform system monitoring, patching, maintenance, and capacity planning.
n
Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
n




Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support when required.
n
Assist with disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies.
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification or equivalent practical experience.
n
Minimum 3+ years' experience in Network Administration or Infrastructure Administration roles.
n
Strong experience with:
n
Cisco networking technologies
n
Routing and switching
n
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
n
VPN technologies
n
Firewall administration
n
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
n
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
n
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
n
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
n
Experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, or similar platforms.
n
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
n
Experience with Windows Server administration.
n
Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code or automation tools.
n
Experience supporting multi-site environments.
n
