East Coast Diesels (ECD) in Maroochydore is expanding, and we're looking for an enthusiastic Heavy Diesel Mechanic who's ready for the next step in their career. This role starts on the tools - but is designed to grow into a workshop supervisor/office leadership position.
If you're a skilled mechanic who enjoys customer interaction, organising jobs, and keeping a workshop running smoothly, this is your chance to build toward a long-term leadership role while still staying hands-on.

About the Role
You'll begin as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, working across workshop and field service jobs. As you settle in, you'll gradually take on leadership and office responsibilities, including customer communication, job booking, workflow organisation, and parts management.
Your day may include:
Maintaining a wide range of trucks and diesel equipment
Answering customer calls and enquiries




Booking in jobs and organising daily workflow
Ordering parts and coordinating suppliers
Accurate record-keeping and timely job completion
Safe work practices at all times
Working independently and collaboratively
Opportunities for career progression into management
Heavy Vehicle Mechanic trade certificate + 2+ years post-trade
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Basic welding experience/qualifications
Skilled communication and customer service skills
Confidence speaking with customers and managing bookings
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Initiative + ability to spot new business opportunities
Organised, proactive, and able to manage workflow
Enthusiasm and a sense of humour
