Job Description
Wellam Constructions is a locally based civil construction company seeking the services of Civil Construction Labourers. You will be based within the Geelong region.

General duties would include:
n
Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites, including fencing, signage, and barriers.
n
Perform manual excavation, trenching, and backfilling.
n
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
n
Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
n
Support tradespeople and machine operators as required.
n
Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of the site.
n
Assist with concrete pouring, formwork, and compaction tasks.
n
Carry out traffic control duties (if licensed).
n
Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
n
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
n
Strictly adhere to all company policies, including Safe Work Method Statements, OH&S; Policy (including PPE), and Drug and Alcohol Policy.

Collaborate effectively with other teams on site to ensure smooth workflow.
n
Required skills/knowledge:
n
Hold a valid Construction Induction (White) Card.
n
Hold a current and valid Driver's Licence.
n
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Strong attention to detail.
n
Ability to apply knowledge of OH&S; requirements to maintain a secure working environment for all employees.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Experience in civil construction.
n
Knowledge of local council subdivisional standards and procedures.
n
Familiarity with relevant local authority regulations (e.g., Power, Communications, Water, Gas).
n
