About the Role
As a Travel Scrub Scout Registered Nurse at Royal Darwin Hospital, you will provide specialist perioperative nursing care across a range of surgical specialties within a busy theatre environment. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetic teams, and fellow theatre staff to deliver safe,



patient-centred care throughout surgical procedures.
Key responsibilities
Provide skilled Scrub Scout nursing support across various surgical specialties
Prepare and maintain sterile fields throughout procedures
Anticipate surgical team requirements and ensure equipment availability
Maintain safe infection prevention and control practices
Collaborate with multidisciplinary theatre teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Complete accurate perioperative documentation in accordance with hospital policies and standards

What you'll need
Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
Minimum 2 years recent Scrub Scout experience within an acute hospital setting
Demonstrated experience across a broad range of surgical specialties
Ability to work effectively within fast-paced perioperative environments
Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship available)
