About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Specialist to join our Freight Forwarding team. Reporting to the Freight Forwarding Supervisor, you'll be responsible for end-to-end coordination of air freight import and export operations across Australia. This is a hands-on operational role with a strong focus on compliance, customer service, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Coordinate all aspects of air freight imports and exports (NSW, QLD, NT, WA, SA)
n
Sea freight operational / working knowledge will be highly regarded
n
Manage job registrations, customs reporting (ACR), and cargo movement tracking
n
Liaise with airlines, GHA (Ground Handling Agents), bonded warehouses, and customs brokers
n
Issue tax invoices and process supplier invoices
n
Provide accurate quotes to clients and overseas agents upon request
n




Monitor and resolve cargo issues (e.g. delays, missing or damaged goods)
n
Respond promptly to customer and agent inquiries with a professional and solution-focused approach
n
Maintain compliance with WHO-GDP, ISO, and internal standards
n
Ensure all internal stakeholders are updated with shipment progress and key milestones
n

About you
n

As a successful candidate, you will possess:
n
Proven experience in a similar role within a quick-paced environment.
n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
n
Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on delivering timely and effective solutions.
n
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
n
Proficiency in CargoWise1 and Microsoft Office 365.
n
Knowledge of international freight forwarding, including Dangerous Goods handling (IATA DG certification), refrigerated and temperature-controlled goods, firearms and explosives, and high-value merchandise (preferred).
