After several long-standing team members recently retired, we're looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to step into genuine permanent positions with one of Australia's leading steel manufacturers.
n
This isn't a short-term opportunity. We're looking for Fitters who want to settle in, learn the plant and build a long-term career with the business.

The Opportunity
n
Join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping a large-scale steel manufacturing operation running safely and reliably.
n
You'll be hands-on across preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heavy industrial equipment.
n
The Roster
n
4 Days On / 4 Days Off
n
n
2 x Day Shifts - 6:00am to 6:00pm
n
2 x Night Shifts - 6:00pm to 6:00am
n
4 days off
n
Roster provided six months in advance
n
n

What You'll Be Doing
n
n




Preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance
n
Mechanical fault finding and repairs
n
Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment
n
Installation, alignment and overhaul of mechanical components
n
Supporting plant reliability and minimising downtime
n
Working to high safety and maintenance standards
n
n
About You
n
n
Trade-qualified Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter
n
Experience in heavy manufacturing, steel, mining, industrial processing or similar
n
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
n
Experience with heavy industrial plant and equipment
n
Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
n
Solid safety focus and a team-first attitude
n
Able to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
n
