Experienced Digital Print & Finishing Operator

Current Creation Print is looking for an experienced Digital Print & Finishing Operator to join our production team. You will take ownership of the digital production area — from running jobs on Ricoh production equipment through to finishing, managing priorities, maintaining stock levels and ensuring work moves efficiently through production. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced operator who is organised, reliable and comfortable working independently without needing constant direction.

Key responsibilities
n
Setting up and producing digital print jobs accurately and efficiently
n
Monitoring print quality, colour and registration throughout production
n
Performing routine calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting
n
Operating Horizon finishing equipment
n
Taking digital jobs through printing and finishing wherever practical
n
Reading and interpreting job bags and production specifications
n
Using internal MIS and production systems to manage and update jobs
n
Prioritising your own workload to meet production deadlines
n




Monitoring digital paper and stock requirements and maintaining appropriate stock levels
n
About you
n
Previous experience as a Digital Print Operator in a commercial printing setting
n
Experience with Horizon finishing equipment
n
A good understanding of commercial print production and finishing
n
Knowledge of paper stocks and digital print requirements
n
Good computer skills and the ability to confidently use internal production systems
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Good mechanical and troubleshooting ability
n
Excellent time management and organisational skills
n
The ability to prioritise multiple jobs in a busy production environment
n
