Excavator Operator – Civil Construction

We are seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our team working across a range of civil construction sites throughout Melbourne's North and West areas.
n
There is an excellent ongoing chance available for reliable and experienced operators who can hit the ground running and work confidently with minimal supervision.
n
We are looking for operators with a minimum of 3 years' excavator experience and a strong background in civil construction.
n
Experience with final trim and GPS systems such as Trimble or Topcon is advantageous but not essential.
n
There are also excellent opportunities for overtime, with great overtime rates available for operators looking to maximise their earning potential.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Operate excavators safely and efficiently across civil construction sites.
n
Carry out bulk earthworks, site cuts and general excavation.
n
Complete detailed excavation and final trim work where required.
n
Undertake trenching for drainage, sewer and services.
n
Complete battering, benching and site preparation.
n
Excavate around existing services and infrastructure.
n
Load trucks and assist with general earthmoving activities.
n
Operate using GPS systems such as Trimble or Topcon where required.
n




Read and work from plans, levels and site instructions.
n

About you
n
n
Minimum 3 years' experience operating excavators.
n
Strong civil construction experience is essential.
n
Experience operating excavators across a range of sizes.
n
Experience operating 20T+ excavators is highly advantageous.
n
Experience with final trim and detailed excavation is highly regarded.
n
GPS experience with Trimble or Topcon is highly advantageous.
n
Experience with bulk earthworks, drainage, trenching, site cuts and general civil works.
n
Ability to read plans and work accurately to levels and specifications.
n
Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
n
Reliable and punctual.
n
Construction Industry White Card.
n
Relevant excavator/plant tickets.
n
Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
