Dental Assistant (Surgical) – Part-Time & Casual
We are seeking a highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our supportive perioperative team on a part-time or casual basis, this role is well suited to someone with experience in oral and maxillofacial, implant or other dental surgical procedures.
About the Role
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in supporting surgical services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting the surgical team during dental and oral surgical procedures
Preparation and set-up of operating theatres and procedure rooms
Instrument processing, sterilisation, and tracking in accordance with Australian Standards
Maintaining infection prevention and control standards
Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience in dental surgery, oral surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery
Solid knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques
Experience in sterilisation and infection control processes
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Qualifications
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience
