We're looking for a Project Support Coordinator to join BMRG's Cool Burn Squad, supporting the team delivering practical fire management, landholder engagement and cool burning activities across the Burnett Mary region.
This is a hands‐on project support role for someone who enjoys keeping the details organised, following things through and helping a busy project team operate effectively.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator, you'll provide project administration, information management and operational coordination support across the Cool Burn Squad.
You'll help maintain accurate landholder, property and project information, coordinate documentation and records, support Expressions of Interest and landholder enquiries, and assist with the equipment, procurement, consumables and logistics that keep project activities moving.
The position works across BMRG's project and information management systems and maintains strong connections with on‐ground Cool Burn Squad activities. From time to time, this may include travel, attendance at field activities and community events, and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
You'll support the project by:
Receiving, processing and maintaining landholder Expressions of Interest and participation records
Maintaining accurate landholder, property,

engagement and project information within BMRG's CRM and project management systems
Assisting with property and landholder information checks using mapping and spatial information systems
Maintaining organised, complete and audit‐ready project records and documentation
Identifying missing or outstanding records and following up with project staff
Supporting project scheduling, procurement and general administration
Coordinating routine equipment servicing, maintenance and related administrative requirements
Maintaining stock records for field consumables and coordinating ordering and replenishment
Assisting with logistics for Cool Burn Squad operations, activities, workshops and community engagement
Supporting attendance, participant and survey records
Working collaboratively with Traditional Owners, Indigenous fire practitioners, landholders, contractors, government agencies and community stakeholders.
About You
You're someone who likes things organised and accurate and takes satisfaction in making sure tasks are followed through to completion.
You can manage competing priorities without losing sight of the details, communicate confidently with a range of people and adapt when project priorities change.
You'll bring:
Experience in project administration, coordination, records management or a comparable support role

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital information management systems
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to manage project, landholder and stakeholder information appropriately and confidentially
A proactive approach to identifying incomplete or outstanding tasks and following them through
Demonstrated cultural awareness and an ability to work respectfully with Traditional Owners, Indigenous organisations and Indigenous fire practitioners.
It would be advantageous if you also have:
Experience using SharePoint, CRM or project management platforms
Experience with Monday.com
Familiarity with GIS, online mapping or property information systems
Experience within natural resource management, land management, fire management, conservation, agriculture or community‐based projects.
Working with BMRG
