Darling Group's Functions & Events team is growing, and we're looking for experienced, energetic event waitstaff and bartenders to join our team across some of Melbourne's most distinctive event spaces.
n
From weddings and cocktail parties to corporate events, private dinners and large-scale celebrations, you'll work across incredible venues including Higher Ground, The Terrace and The Observatory at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, as well as other Darling Group locations throughout Melbourne.

The Role
n
As part of our events team, you'll help deliver polished, attentive and memorable service from event set-up through to the final guest departure.
n
Event Waitstaff
n
n
Provide professional food and beverage service
n
Tray and canapé service
n
Wine and beverage service
n
Table service for seated events
n
Assist with event set-up, resets and pack-down
n
Work closely with supervisors, chefs and the wider events team to keep service running smoothly
n
n
Event Bartenders
n
n
Set up and operate event bars
n
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and spirits
n
Deliver fast, friendly and accurate service during high-volume events
n
Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar
n
Assist with bar set-up and pack-down
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for people who are confident,



reliable and genuinely enjoy hospitality.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Previous experience in functions, events, restaurants or bars
n
A warm, professional and guest-focused approach
n
Excellent communication and presentation
n
The ability to remain calm and switched on during busy services
n
Strong attention to detail and a great work ethic
n
Availability for evening and weekend shifts, particularly Fridays and Saturdays
n
A current Victorian RSA for bartending and beverage service roles
n
n
Experience is highly regarded, but we're also happy to hear from enthusiastic hospitality people with the right attitude who are keen to develop their event experience.
