Job Description
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced gardener or landscaper who is confident supervising staff, organising daily workloads and taking responsibility for ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The successful applicant will be expected to lead by example, work alongside the team and help ensure our gardening and landscaping operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

Lead and supervise gardening and landscaping crews
n
Ensure crews are prepared with the correct tools, equipment and materials before leaving for site
n
Provide clear instructions and guidance to team members
n
Assist with training and development of staff
n
Monitor productivity, workmanship and time management
n
Communicate job progress, issues and requirements to management
n
Lawn maintenance, mowing and edging
n
Plant care, pruning, shaping and hedging
n
Weed identification and control
n




Seasonal gardening and property clean-ups
n

About you
n
n
Previous gardening, landscaping or horticultural experience – experienced applicants only
n
Confidence and experience towing trailers
n
Current Police Check or ability to obtain one
n
Current Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one
n
Strong knowledge of gardening practices, plants and landscape maintenance
n
Experience operating gardening and landscaping machinery
n
Good mechanical understanding of tools and equipment
n
Irrigation knowledge and basic troubleshooting ability
n
Robust organisational and time-management skills
