Our client is one of Australia's largest online retailers, operating a flagship site plus a portfolio of subsidiary brands.
They're looking for an Online Merchandising Lead to own the workflows, standards and execution of the merchandising function - making sure products are findable, promotions are clearly signposted and navigation genuinely helps customers buy.
You'll balance business-as-usual against major projects and seasonal peaks, lead and mentor the merchandising team and act as the escalation point when priorities collide. It's equally about process design and hands-on trading.
What you'll be doing :
Own the end-to-end merchandising workflow and prioritise BAU, projects and seasonal activity against commercial goals.
Build and maintain best-practice standards, auditing frameworks and dashboards covering navigation, on-site search and promotional effectiveness.
Be the escalation point for blockers, ambiguous briefs and competing priorities across the business
Report on merchandising KPIs
CTR, bounce rate, search performance - and recommend corrections




Lead the merchandising roadmap and drive structured communication to fix systemic issues rather than symptoms
Act as the key liaison with purchasing, marketplace and engineering on enhancements and prioritisation
Mentor the merchandising team and scale best practice across the group
What you'll bring :
Proven experience leading merchandising, content or digital trading workflows, ideally in retail or eCommerce
Robust analytical skills and the confidence to turn dashboards into clear recommendations
Solid grounding in site navigation, on-site search and customer journey principles
Excellent communication - you can give a structured update and lead a cross-functional discussion
Experience mentoring others while staying close to execution yourself
