Peuker & Alexander are a leader in the supply of prefabricated timber wall frames and trusses to Victoria's building industry.

We are currently looking for a Work Health and Safety Officer to join our team. This is a excellent opportunity for the right person!

Responsibilities:
n
n
Maintain WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
n
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
n
Weekly inspections of the Campbellfield and Dandenong South plants
n
Monitor use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
n
Assist with incident reporting at the production plants or on building sites
n
Maintain WHS registers, training records and documentation
n




Assist with return-to-work programs
n
n
Qualifications & Experience:
n
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:
n
n
Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)
n
Proven experience in a similar role
n
Experience in a construction, manufacturing, logistics and/or carpentry company (desirable but not essential)
n
Strong knowledge of the relevant WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
n
Ability to work independently and travel between work sites
n
High level competency with computer software systems, particularly Microsoft Office applications
