Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist to join our dermatology team. This is an opportunity to provide high-quality specialist dermatology services, contribute to teaching and training, and play a key role in the ongoing development of our dermatology service.

About your opportunity
n
This position provides a unique opportunity for a visiting Staff Specialist to join the dermatology team at Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) and help provide specialist services to our community.
n
For the successful candidate, you will primarily work in an outpatient setting, caring for patients with skin disease of varying levels of complexity, as well as performing a range of dermatologic procedures. Townsville has an exciting and diverse casemix with opportunities for special interest in tropical and infectious dermatology given our North Queensland location. We are also launching a clinical trials unit with ongoing opportunities for research and clinical trials and have a close working relationship with James Cook University.

A key feature of this position will be to oversee the clinical work of doctors-in-training, and to contribute to their education and training. In addition,



the successful candidate will be supported to develop specialist clinical services that help build the service as a centre of excellence in Dermatologic Medicine.

Base salary range: $222,059 to $281,545 p.a. (f/t) (L18-L27)
