Role:

JASANZ is seeking a highly capable and motivatedTechnical Specialist – Food & Biologicalsto join ourAccreditation Delivery team.
n
In this wide-ranging and influential role, you will apply your food and biological sector expertise to strengthen confidence in certification outcomes across Australia, New Zealand and international markets.
n
The role has a strong focus on the Food & Biological sector, with opportunities to contribute to and support accreditation activities in other sectors.
n
This role is supports theintegrity of domestic and international regulatory and voluntary certification schemes.
n
JASANZ provides significant training for the role. The successful applicant will also bring technical competence and experience in the sector, auditing experience, and a technically minded, enquiring approach.
n
Role requirements:
n
Lead and contribute to accreditation assessment activities for certification schemes and standards in the food and biological sectors, including:
n
n
Food Safety Management System (FSMS) - ISO*****
n
FSSC *****
n
Global G.A.P
n
Safe Quality Food (SQF)
n
Australian Organics Scheme
n
Interpret and apply relevant international standards, including ISO/IEC *******, ISO/IEC *****:**** and ISO/IEC *****.
n
Provide expert technical advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
n




Maintain current knowledge of food and biological certification schemes and standards, and assess their implications for accreditation.
n
Thought leadership including participation in industry events and forums within the sector and throughout the broader assessment ecosystem.
n

Candidate profile:
n
Demonstrated ability to conduct accreditation assessments or audits, supported by knowledge of the Australian, New Zealand and international regulatory environments relevant to the sector.
n
n
Domain expertise inFoodand Biologicals
n
Demonstrated competence in auditing management systems, inspection activities or comparable assurance programmes.
n
Friendly, professional presence with the ability to navigate complexity and build trust
n
Strong organisational and planning skills, with clear and effective written and oral communication and reporting capability.
n
n
This role will appeal to professional working within the food and/or biological sector, and those who are already in audit roles and where a diversity of work and balanced audit related work is sought.
n
Periodic travel within Australia and internationally is required. Applicants must have the flexibility and ability to travel as an essential part of the role.
