Job Description
ZIMMERMANN is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Design Room Assistants to join our Design team on a casual basis. This is an exciting prospect to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced luxury fashion environment and support the design process from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Assisting the design team with day-to-day tasks in the design room to support the development of seasonal collections
n
Creating and updating tech sketches in line with designer direction, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
n
Undertaking hand sewing, and sample cutting to support fittings and sample development
n
Producing paper dollies for placement artwork, embroidery layouts, and cutting instructions
n
Assisting with garment preparation for fittings, including steaming, labelling, and organising samples
n
Running errands as required, including deliveries and collections from local dyers, printers, and fabric or trim suppliers
n
Organising and maintaining samples,



fabrics, and trims within the design room
n
Assisting with general design room administration and ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
n
n
About You:
n
n
Currently studying or recently graduated in Fashion Design or a related field
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
n
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Confident communication and teamwork skills
n
Previous experience in a design room is advantageous but not essential
n
