About the role
Ratio Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance Assistant to join our Finance team in Cremorne. This role will provide day-to-day support across the finance function, assisting with accounting administration and project-related financial tasks. The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in accuracy, is comfortable working with numbers and systems, and can manage routine tasks while responding effectively to ad-hoc requests. This is a max term position for 12 months.
Key responsibilities
Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with maintaining accurate financial records.
Assist with accounts receivable (AR)



and accounts payable (AP) tasks, including processing invoices, payments and receipts.
Maintain and monitor staff timesheets, ensuring records are complete and accurate.
Maintain accurate financial project records, including relevant financial and supporting documentation.
Assist with general finance and accounting administration as required.
Ensure financial information is maintained accurately, consistently and in a timely manner.
About you
A relevant accounting qualification or studies in accounting.
Previous experience in a finance or accounting support role.
Experience with Xero is a must.
Intermediate Excel skills, including confidence working with spreadsheets, formulas and financial data.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Solid organisational and time-management skills.
A methodical and accurate approach to completing tasks.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
A proactive attitude and willingness to assist with a range of finance-related tasks.
