Join Western Sydney Local Health District across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, where education, professional development and continuous improvement play an key role in supporting high-quality patient care. You will work alongside experienced nursing and education teams in a complex and evolving healthcare environment.
Contribute to education and professional development across diverse clinical settings.
Work collaboratively with Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Educators and multidisciplinary teams.
Help identify emerging learning needs and translate them into practical education.
Be part of a culture focused on capability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Support WSLHD priorities through innovative and relevant educational initiatives.
What you'll be doing
As a Nurse Educator Grade 1, you will use your clinical expertise, education skills and knowledge of contemporary practice to build workforce capability and support positive change.
Provide educational consultancy to staff and management to address clinical practice needs.
Identify learning gaps and develop education programs aligned with service priorities.
Provide guidance, support and clinical supervision to nursing staff and educators.




Develop initiatives that promote effective communication and collaborative practice.
Use research and information systems to inform education and respond to current and future workforce needs.
Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Post Graduate clinical and/or educational qualification relevant to Nursing Education
Demonstrated recent experience in nursing/midwifery practice and education
Demonstrated experience and ability to develop, implement, evaluate and maintain educational programs and/or portfolios with outcome based measures.
Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work in a consultative manner whilst working effectively in a team workplace
Proven ability to effectively manage projects in a timely manner
Current valid Driver's licence including P1 or above
