The Team Leader is a hands-on lead from the front to ensure efficiency and quality in the assembly of concrete sleepers, supporting the Production Manager with the day-to-day management of the production area, overseeing a group of team members and ensuring an efficient production in achieving business targets.
This is a hands-on role in a busy concrete sleeper manufacturing setting. The position involves regular manual handling, lifting, standing for extended periods and physically demanding production work.

physically fit, energetic, reliable and comfortable working hard as part of a team
. You'll need the strength and stamina to safely handle concrete products and keep up with a fast-paced production environment.
Key responsibilities
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear
Perform inspections of end products to assess quality according to company standards
Record daily sleepers information and data to track performance in accordance with production goals




Supervise and train production team members
Meet daily KPIs
Maintain and keep clean storage and production work areas, lunchrooms and smoko areas
Work on production floor and lead from the front
Ensure pre-start inspections are done daily on machinery and forklifts
Daily reporting to Production Managers
Maintain and upkeep moulds and all tools and equipment
About you
Must have a forklift license and be very competent on a forklift
Experience in production management
Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
Professional attitude and reliable
Self-driven with ability to consistently meet all deadlines
Able to work under pressure and attend to ad hoc functions as required
Ability to drive efficiencies and informed decision making through extensive analysis
Adopts a professional approach to own accountability
Ability to adapt to changing environment
